Large Football Stadium in North London

About This Project

Permanent sheet piled basement cofferdam with both Vibratory Leader Rig and Silent and Vibration-free Piling techniques

Fussey Piling, a UK specialist sheet piling contractor, was awarded the first part of multi-phase project to install the sheet piles for the prestigious new stadium in North London. The Advanced Stadium Works contract was awarded directly by the club following extensive design development with the Client, Buro Happold and Fussey Piling.

Almost 1000 tonnes of sheet piles have been driven in permanent and temporary works on the new stadium site just north of the existing White Hart Lane football ground. The piles were driven with silent and vibration-free techniques. This was so as not to disturb the businesses, school and residents nearby. In order to avoid water jetting through the dense gravels overlying the London Clay the soil was pre-augered with a 400mm diameter auger to loosen the ground.

Rebecca Noble, Stadium Development Project Manager, has praised Fussey Piling on their collaborative approach to the project.
