The project involved the redevelopment of the site by the construction of a 9-10 storey block of flats, incorporating a basement. Fussey Piling were contracted by John Sisk to install the sheet piles to form a permanent retaining wall of said basement.
The piles were installed with our WP150 Kowan Still Worker, and the process was assisted by water jetting. Water jetting is used when ground conditions would be otherwise unsuitable; it also improves the rate of pile instillation.
After instillation and excavation Fussey Piling returned to site to weld the pile clutches and thus make the basement water tight.
