The project involved the redevelopment of a disused brown field site by the construction of two three storey town houses with basements.

Fussey Piling was appointed by developer Orchards of London Ltd to install steel sheet piles to form a temporary cofferdam to enable them to construct a concrete basement box.

Due to the location of the site, with its proximity to other housing, a silent and vibration-free Kowan WP-150 Stillworker was employed with a Sennebogen 630HD telescopic Crawler crane.

The site measured just 1.0m wider than the cofferdam and just a few additional metres at each end for crane and piling equipment to stand when extracting the sheets.

The piles were installed in a week and extracted in just 3 days to the delight of the developer.

Managing Director of Orchards of London Ltd, Paul Connolly, said upon completion “thank you for your efforts and the great service you offered on this project and will be in touch shortly once for the next basement project.”
